Our service team operates worldwide for you and provides expert technical support for wellhead completions, maintenance work, repairs, and claims. Since 2010, we have bundled our long-standing, successful service activities into a dedicated service and repair department – for fast response times, clear processes, and reliable support.
We stand for straightforward, reliable communication and competent support tailored to your requirements – on-site or from the back office. Occupational safety is our highest priority: we have been continuously certified according to SCC** (Safety Certificate Contractors) since 2007.
Whenever and wherever you need us:
Contact us – we are here for you.
With our service personnel, we support you directly on-site at any time. Whether it is the installation or modification of wellheads, the installation and removal of plant valves, support during revisions, or maintenance of our products – our team is at your disposal with professional tools.
If required, support from our engineering team is ensured. For special wellhead operations, we offer equipment such as BPV (Back-Pressure Valve) or TWCV (Two-Way Check Valve) on a rental basis – including installation and deinstallation by our personnel. Our employees are certified, among other things, according to SCC, trained as first aiders, and complete customer-specific safety briefings. In addition, there are various training courses, such as working at heights, working in confined spaces, bolting technician (DIN EN 1591-4), or IWCF.
Maintenance contracts ensure long-lasting and reliable plant availability. Since the wellhead is a central component of the well barrier, we recommend regular inspections to keep components in perfect condition. Time, operating conditions, and loads can affect the condition – and a a leaking valve, flange connection, or seal can compromise integrity and increase safety risks.
We offer two inspection approaches: basic inspection (standard check) and premium inspection (comprehensive check). Based on our experience, we recommend an alternating annually between a basic inspection and a premium inspection (every two years). We would be pleased to create an individual maintenance and inspection plan tailored to your equipment and requirements. Our inspections are also available for third-party equipment – provided the necessary documentation is available.
Our repair division covers classic repairs as well as remanufacturing. Especially for equipment already in use, this can offer a noticeable economic advantage, e.g., in the context of caverns. Repairs and remanufacturing are carried out by employees with many years of experience – for targeted and professionally competent implementation.
As a specialist welding company, we can also correct heavy wear on individual parts, thereby expanding the range of our repair services.
When it comes to overcoming short-term challenges or reacting flexibly to projects, our API 6A rental valves are the ideal solution.
Whether for temporary installations, test scenarios, or projects planned at short notice – rental valves offer you high flexibility and support economic planning (Opex vs. Capex). This allows you to remain operational without tying up capital in the long term.
In addition, we can provide support with wellhead components (thread/adapter flanges, crosses, etc.).
Other sizes are available on request. If you require a different temperature rating, a different paint finish, a different actuator solution, or an additional gas test, please contact us.
Please note that this may affect lead time and price.
For the long-term use of our products, we offer a comprehensive spare parts supply. Through our inventory management, we maintain a large stock of parts to enable short-term deliveries. Additionally, we manufacture individual spare parts within a short time to implement your requirements quickly.
To ensure we can process your inquiry quickly, please provide the following information in addition to your contact details:
Order number or customer purchase order,
Serial number,
Tag number, and
Location.
You can request spare parts via our spare parts form or by email to sales@hartmann-valves.com.
In the future, hydrogen will be used in more and more fields of application. For safe operation, all components that come into contact with hydrogen must be suitable in terms of material and be leak-tight.
Hartmann offers hydrogen testing Hartmann ball valves and wellheads, as well as products from other manufacturers – based on available documentation. The tests can be carried out individually or in combination.
Molecular hydrogen (H₂) is relatively unreactive; however, hydrogen embrittlement (hydrogen-induced stress corrosion cracking) represents a relevant risk for highly stressed pressure-bearing components.
In the material suitability test, we comprehensively evaluate the material selection with regard to hydrogen compatibility. The basis includes PED 2014/68/EU, API 6A/6D, ASME, and DIN EN ISO 15156 / NACE MR0175. Criteria such as hardness, surface hardness, ductility, heat treatment, and microstructure are evaluated.
As a very small molecule, hydrogen can diffuse through sealing elements. A leak test provides assurance that limit values are met and fugitive emissions are minimized.
External leak measurement is performed using a mass spectrometer. We use forming gas according to DIN EN ISO 14175 as the test medium. Leak-tightness is evaluated based on DIN EN ISO 15848 with corresponding limit values.

We support you worldwide with on-site installation services (e.g., installation/modification/decommissioning of wellheads, installation/removal of plant valves, revisions), maintenance contracts and inspections, repairs and remanufacturing, API 6A rental equipment, spare parts supply, and hydrogen testing (material suitability and leak-tightness) – also for products from other manufacturers based on existing documentation.
Yes. Our service team is active on all continents and supports you with projects, maintenance, repairs, and claims.
Our installation service includes, among other things, the installation or modification of wellheads, the installation and removal of plant valves, support during revisions, and maintenance of our products. We work with professional tools; engineering support is ensured if required.
Yes. For special wellhead operations, equipment such as BPV (Back-Pressure-Valve) or TWCV (Two-Way-Check-Valve) can be provided on a rental basis.
We have a large portfolio of tools, for example: high-pressure locks, flange spreaders, hot tapping tools, external casing cutters, spectrometers, high-pressure pumps, pressure testing, and power bolting equipment. We are happy to support their use with our competent personnel.
Our personnel have comprehensive product-specific training. In addition, service technicians maintain their status or regularly attend courses such as IWCF (Level 2 or higher), SCC (Safety Certificate Contractors), first aid, working in confined spaces, working at heights, bolting technician (DIN EN 1591-4), as well as various customer-specific gas protection and safety briefings and training by suppliers (e.g., actuator manufacturers, Swagelok, etc.).
We offer two types of inspection: a basic inspection with standard testing and a premium inspection with more comprehensive checks.
As a general recommendation, we advise performing the basic inspection once a year and combining it alternately with the premium check, which is recommended every two years. We would be pleased to create a specific maintenance and inspection plan suitable for your equipment and requirements.
Yes. Our inspections are also available for third-party property, provided that the relevant records and documentation are available.
